Course topics include:
Operation planning, camouflage, techniques, prior intelligence of target
assessment, officer safety issues, infiltration and exfiltration
techniques, hide site construction, equipment necessary for camouflage,
equipment necessary t o take surveillance footage, and urban and rural
strategies will also be discussed.
This course is a hands-on course. The student will be required to
bring operational items to include: camouflaged top, bottom and hat (realtree
or military surplus), face paint or veil, gloves, optics/binoculars,
small camouflaged day pack, camelback or canteen for water, knife or
leatherman, bug spray, 8mm video camera with tape and batteries, and/or
35mm camera with batteries and film, and/or digital camera/recorder with
batteries. At the end of each day, we will critique each student's
surveillance footage and discuss how to improve their surveillance.
